2005 AEJMC Midwinter Conference
February 11-12, 2005
Kennesaw, Georgia
The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication will hold its 2005 Midwinter Conference at Kennesaw State University from February 11-12. The Robert D. Fowler Distinguished Chair in Communication is hosting the conference on campus in Kennesaw, Georgia (20 miles north of Atlanta).
Eight divisions and interest groups are involved in co-sponsoring the 2005 AEJMC Midwinter Conference: Civic Journalism, Communication Technology and Policy, Cultural and Critical Studies, Entertainment Studies, Graduate Education, Mass Communication and Society, Media Management and Economics, and Visual Communication.

Journalism and the Public: Restoring the Trust
An AEJMC Pre-Convention Conference and Workshop
August 9, 2005 Noon – 10:00 p.m.
Marriott Rivercenter; San Antonio, Texas
This conference is the centerpiece of a one-year Restoring the Trust project developed in partnership with the Robert D. Fowler Distinguished Chair in Communication at Kennesaw State University and the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada-Reno in consultation with the PJNet and the AEJMC’s Civic Journalism Interest Group. The conference will run from 12:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Part I. Interactive panels will operate from noon to 6:30 p.m., focusing on trust in relation to the general public, communities of color and citizens active online.
- Part II. From 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. there will be a Restoring the Trust Mini-Expo presented by groups active in trust building and credibility projects.

2005 AEJMC Convention
August 10-13, 2005
San Antonio, Texas
The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication Convention will hold its annual convention at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio from August 10-13, 2005. The programming groups within the Council of Divisions of the AEJMC invite submissions of original, non-published research papers to be considered for presentation at the convention.

The deadline for paper submission is April 1, 2005. All submissions must be postmarked by the deadline date.
