EPpy Awards Given for Best Newspaper Web Sites
From an Editor & Publisher story with all the 2006 winners:
2006 EPpy awards for interactive media, given Friday at the Interactive Media Conference & Trade Show in Las Vegas.
Awards were presented in 32 different categories for excellence in online media, both for design and for content.
In the category of Best Overall Newspaper-Affiliated Internet Service with more than 1 million unique monthly visitors, Washingtonpost.com took top honors. In the category of Best Overall Newspaper-Affiliated Internet Service under 1 million unique monthly visitors, the Roanoke.com was the winner.
Interesting choices, but they don’t look or feel very much different than the rest of the sites. Nothing truly innovative. Or am I missing something?
