Truck Flips, Tar Spilled, PJNet Gets Citizen Photos

A tar truck flipped a couple of blocks from my Marietta, Ga. house, so I knew it was time to get in my citizen journalism mode.

Okay, so maybe I was not the first one on the scene; yeah maybe I was the last one. But here is the action as recorded by the PJNet.org ready citizen journalist Leonard Witt.

Stop the presses; hardly but it was fun until a cop told me to get lost.

Cool! Haven’t met a cop yet that liked journalists – of any kind. Last time I was on a “big scene” (Ashley Smith/courthouse shooting mess) I was, quite literally, removed from “big scene” by a very large dude wearing a jacket that said “GBI” across the back. He picked me up by my backpack like I was a bug and set me back a considerable ways. Was just a bit embarassing, considering the amount of media on the scene! (I had somehow ended-up behind a crime scene tape, totally by accident though. But no need to waste breath trying to explain that kinda fu to a csi type!)
