I just finished reading the Business Week article about the continuing slide of the San Jose Mercury News. Obviously the Mercury News is behind the technology curve, although it had a chance to get ahead of it. It’s an okay article, but we don’t need another postmortem, we need publications with the resources like Business Week to be ahead of the curve and help us figure out where have to go to make journalism succeed.
As you might know, the Harnisch Foundation under the direction of Ruth Ann Harnisch gave us a substantial gift to start the Center for for Sustainable Journalism at Kennesaw State University. We are up and running. Keep abreast of what is happening at SustainableJournalism.org
