Suburban Publishers Don’t Like

The Denver Business Journal reported earlier this week:

Suburban newspaper publishers have a few cheers but mostly jeers for the Denver Newspaper Agency’s (DNA) new publications and Web sites for more than 40 metro-area communities.

Here is one opinion:

“It’s the biggest joke I’ve ever seen,” said Bob Sweeney, owner of the Villager in Greenwood Village and recent past president of the National Newspaper Association. “It’s the worst piece of journalism. I’d be embarrassed to publish it.” is part of the movement, in which papers allow citizens, and in this case advertising agencies, to place any thing that’s not offensive into the online news sites.
