Asian Participatory Journalism Workshop Slated
New Media and Social Transformation Conference: Activists will meet Dec. 9 and 10 in Hong Kong to share their experiences in independent media
The conference is composed of four sessions: 1. Participatory journalism and the independent media movement; 2. Global citizens and new media; 3. New media and critical pedagogy; and 4. Internet media in Chinese communities.
It is worth visiting the conference site, just to see who the activist speakers are.
Just as I found that information I got an email from Kevin Howarth announcing that the next Atlanta Media Bloggers meeting will be held on December 1. I love that this movement is about both your backyard and the rest of the world and that it is all unfolding at the same time.
